Spicy, creamy delicious prawn gravy in light orange color that goes well with any kind of rotis or paratas. This is something different from normal prawn gravy, like it has gotta a rich, creamy and nutty thick gravy by the addition of cashew nuts in it.

Looks like North Indian style butter gravy isn't it?But tastes entirely different. While i was going through my kitchen scrap book this one caught my eyes which i copied from a magazine sometime before 7 years ago !hehe!I tried it too that time and loved by all.Now here is it for you guys!Riz loved it as it's spicy and delish!

Prawns are first fried and then the gravy is cooked in the same oil.The addition of cashew nut paste and coconut milk gives the gravy an extra richness and yumminess to the dish.If you don't want to add coconut milk you can skip it.

Mango season is back and the recipes with mangoes are on full swing in social medias and blogs! So here i'm with my favorite mango dessert .This is one pudding that wipes in no time. The two favorite desserts of my family is this one and do you remember my Nutty Parfait! Creamy, deliciousness !!

The layer of delicious buttery mangoey pulp as base, topped with biscuits and a rich vanilla cream on top followed by caramelized nuts. This is as simple as 1,2,3 and the taste is out of the world. If you are a mango lover you will fall in love with this pudding on a single bite.As you can see the name it's a floating pudding, will not set it's liquidy but believe me it's worth trying!

This pudding was introduced to us by Shabnam my aunt(shabu ammayi) who is a master chef . She used to bring a big bowl of this pudding if there is any potluck party and we wipe it off every single bit.The recipe shared to me by my cousin Raisa till then it's our favorite. Make it your favorite too,If mango is not in season you can make it with pineapple too,But if you are making with pineapple you have to cook it with butter and sugar.

It's a real creamy indulgence with mango, biscuits and a crunch from nuts. There is one Philippine dessert similar to this called mango float dessert. In that they are using vanilla sponge cakes and for the crunch Amaretti cookies instead of caramelized nuts.Hope you guys will like it.If you don't want it so liquidy try to set in a large pudding bowl or in individual short glasses. So that cream will spread widely and the some of the liquids are soaked by biscuits.

4.Mix together well.               5. Mix together cream condensed milk and vanilla essence. If you beat it                                                      you will get more thicker than putting in a blender.(i blend it in a                                                              mixer)

Summer calls for refreshing and soul soothing drinks!Only thing i love about the summer is that we can have lots of cool drinks and ice creams! This one is a killer.Really this is such an amazing drink with the freshness of lemon and mint along with frozen melon balls!Just try it out guys! The flavors
infused by the melons in that classic mojito is divine.

Each and every sip we had it by uttering yum and refreshing!hehe Truly it's that good. Here i used watermelon and sweet melon. Both are high in minerals and the best thing to have during the summer. If you are a regular reader of my blog you may know how much i love the combination of lemon, mint and soda. Here you can skip the soda and mix any other juice along with this and name it as Melon Ball Punch!

In this recipe we have to freeze the melon balls . So If you are planning to make this, first what you need to do is scoop out the melons, line them in a baking tray and freeze it until firm. Then make sugar syrup and chill it.Assembling part is very simple.I think i have to store some fresh fruits like this in freezer from now on wards,so whenever craving for such refreshing drink i can just mix and have a sip.

What i did was just mixed everything in a pitcher and refrigerate it for 1 hour.By this time the melons infuse its flavor in it and also defrost,so we can enjoy the pieces while sipping! When we are about to drink pour the soda and serve.Kids too enjoyed it as much as we did.For the younger one i didn't add soda.

How cute they are looking isn't it?You can serve it as a salad too.As dressing squeeze some lemon juice, sugar, some green chilies mint and a pinch of salt.I tired it and was yum.

Over to the recipe

  • Juice of 2 big lemon (if you are using small take 3 or 4)
  • 1/2 cup + 2tbsp sugar
  • 1 n 1/2 cup water
  • Some mint leaves
  • 3 or 4 pieces lemon wedges
  • Water melon scoop out as balls
  • Sweet Melon scoop out as balls
  • Soda 3/4 of a can
  • Some ice cubes and chilled water
  1. First scoop out the melons and line it on a baking tray freeze it until firm.
  2. Prepare simple sugar syrup by melting sugar and water.Chill it
  3. Now in a pitcher throw in few ice cubes(only few of them because we are adding frozen melon balls here)and some of the balls
  4. Then Pour lemon juice and simple syrup. Here i muddled 3,4 pieces watermelon and added just for that light pink color.Pour some more water if you need more juice and then mix it.If you like it sweeter add more sugar .Because after adding soda it will not that sweet.Add lemon wedges and mint leaves.
  5. Let it sit in refrigerator for at-least 1/2 an hour just for the melons to infuse it's flavor in it.
  6. When its time to serve pour half to 3/4th can of soda and mix well.
  7. Pour in the glass and put some balls in it and serve it with a straw and spoon to have the balls.

It was light pink color when i served later.Such an amazing treat to the eyes and refreshing to our tummy! We can't eat much during summer,so a big glass of such drinks with some pieces in it
is enough to boost our energy level in a sunny day isn't it??

I served it like that way!You can see the one in the glass behind the pitcher.

Serve it chilled!Trust me it's a must try during this hot sunny days!

Prawn makes anything taste better. An appetizing, crispy, spicy and lightly sweet cutlets with seamless combination of spices which is relevant with a cup of hot tea. Here you can easily substitute the sweet potato with potatoes if you don't like it's sweetness.

First time i'm trying Sweet Potato in spicy version.Always i ate steamed one with coconut milk and some sugar that too from India.I never picked it from here. This one hubby bought, that too many of them and i have no idea what can i make with it!Hehe! He said to batter fry it after i made this one.Still one more left so i should try it for him.I know it's sweet and we both don't like sweet taste in spicy food.I will manage some how but he noway!!

Not at all  sure while making this if we like it or not, mainly i was fasting and i can't even taste it before coating!!But frankly i loved it when it's served hot.Hubby said it's nice but he can't have it like the one with potatoes. So if you like sweet potato i'm sure you will love this,or else make this prawn cutlet with potato.

I love to experiment appetizers / finger food.I started cooking with the snacks and desserts.I used to enter the kitchen when its calm and quiet that is when everyone is napping after the lunch!hehe! Then make something that i can do for the evening snacking!

  9. Now make round patties dip it in egg white and coat it in bread crumbs fry in hot oil.
Note:If you don't want to use egg white while dipping make medium thin batter with maida and water.
If you feel the potato mix is loose add some breadcrumbs and leave it in refrigerator for 1 hour.So that you can shape it easily.

It was delicious when it's served hot.So fry only how much you want and refrigerate rest of it and cook when you are ready to eat.
